Asin Thottumkal is an Indian film actress. Asin made her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam film Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001. Asin won the Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress for the film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003.Her performance in her second Tamil film, Ghajini, won her her the South Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Subsequently, Asin made her debut in Hindi movies with the Hindi remake of Ghajini. Her performance in Ghajini won her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
